• Can I attend your clinic if I am not your patient nor registered with any of your general practitioners or paediatricians?

    Yes you can, one-time appointments are available. All you need to do is contact our client services staff (by telephone, mail or in person) to arrange an appointment and you will receive all the information you need. For an appointment with a specialist, it would be helpful if you bring a medical report from your GP.

  • What should I do if I want to use your services?

    If you are interested in receiving our services, you can choose between a comprehensive healthcare programme or just individual appointments. Our client services staff will be happy to provide you with all the information you need regarding healthcare options, terms and care packages for all age groups (by telephone, e-mail, in person or HERE )

  • If I want to make an appointment at your clinic, do I have to register with your general practitioner or paediatrician?

    You do not have to change your general practitioner or paediatrician to receive healthcare at our clinic. Please feel free to make an appointment.

  • I want to register only with a primary care physician (general practitioner or paediatrician or gynaecologist) at your clinic. What should I do?

    If you are interested in seeing only a general practitioner or paediatrician or gynaecologist (primary care physicians) you need to contact our client services staff (by telephone, e-mail on in person) to make an appointment. You will then have to sign a contract of healthcare provision at the primary care physician’s surgery. We will then take care of the entire process of transferring your healthcare records for you.

  • Can I have an examination even if I do not buy a year-round healthcare programme?

    Yes. Our staff will be happy to provide you with all the information you need (by telephone, mail, in person or HERE )

  • What is included in the year-round healthcare programme?

    The year-round healthcare programme provides comprehensive patient management: you may choose your preferred appointment time, we guarantee minimum consultation times and offer high standards of care and services. The year-round healthcare programme comes with a number of benefits, including infusion treatments or treatment in rehabilitation centres. And all of this is provided under one roof in a friendly environment.

  • With regard to the year-round healthcare programme, does it matter which health insurance provider I am registered with?

    The year-round healthcare programme can be used by customers of all contracted health insurers. What is covered under the programme varies depending on the insurer.   • I use the year-round healthcare programme, but my primary care physician (general practitioner or paediatrician or gynaecologist) does not work at your clinic. Can I still book an appointment at your clinic?

    You can schedule an examination even if you have not signed a contract for healthcare provision with a primary care physician at our clinic. You are welcome to contact our reception for more information (by telephone, email, in person or HERE )

  • JCan I use a year-round healthcare programme with one physician only?

    You can use your year-round healthcare card with primary care physicians (general practitioner or paediatrician or gynaecologist). This is on condition that a contract on provision of healthcare will be signed.   • Do all the doctors at the Poliklinika Mlynská dolina have contracts with all health insurance companies?

  • How can I book an appointment?

    You can book an appointment by phone, e-mail or in person.

  • What should I do if my requested appointment time is not available?

    We will always attempt to offer you the earliest available appointment, or accommodate your preferred appointment time. However, appointments are based on availability of individual doctors.

  • Should I arrive early for my appointment?

    Please arrive at least five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so you can register at the reception.

  • What should I do after my arrival?

    When you arrive at the clinic, you should register at the reception. Please bring your health insurance card or identity card.

  • Why is registration necessary?

    Your registration provides our doctors with the information they need to complete a report following your examination, or to give you a prescription. Also, when you register at the reception, the doctor will be informed of your arrival.

  • What should I do if I am unhappy with the appointment availability or I have a complaint?

    We would be glad to receive your complaints or suggestions in order to improve our services. They should be made in writing and will be dealt with by our client service manager or managing director.

  • What should I do if I need treatment outside the clinic’s opening hours?

    If you become ill suddenly or your condition is urgent, immediately call emergency services on 112. For medical treatment outside clinic opening hours, go to the nearest accident and emergency room, i.e. first aid service (LSPP). Doctors are available at the Mlynská dolina clinic during opening hours.
